Generate your individual “On Island Time” signal simply with scrapbook paper and conveniently transferred lettering with paint!
I hope you are acquiring a wonderful 7 days. We have been traveling and browsing relatives (and pals) in the fantastic point out of South Carolina. (some in the Charleston area and some in the upstate)
If you comply with alongside in excess of on Instagram, you could have noticed a minimal of the vacation. Entertaining, pleasurable!
On Island Time Signal
Now I’m back sharing this sweet very little sign…
Considering that it is already a indicator and has a great hanging wire on the back again, I figured I’d keep it a signal.
Effectively, sort of.
You can cling it or sit it on a shelf, both way.
Listed here is what it looks like now…
Just a minimal unique, huh? lol
Effectively, guess what? Yep…I pulled out a different sheet of that very long-shed scrapbook paper I had stashed absent and applied it.
You can see over that I produced a crease by pressing along the edges of the board for cutting.
See down below?
Then I applied a skinny layer of my Decoupage Gel …
…and connected the scrapbook paper.
As soon as it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a pleasant thoroughly clean line like you see beneath.
I really like that little trick! Operates so perfectly. (on fabric decoupage also)
Then I printed (in reverse) out the terms “on island time…” and organized them on the indicator exactly where I needed them.
I rubbed over them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.

You can see how properly this is effective down below.
Then all you have to do is use a tiny artist’s brush to paint around the lettering. (anything like this brush operates quite very well)
I utilised white paint for the letters.
I went back around spots that have been way too slim and then made the decision to increase shadowing.
I like to print out the phrases with a “shadow” and it shows you everywhere you go you need to have to add it.
Doesn’t that just make the letters pop??
Last of all, I hot glued a infant starfish to the entrance to end it up.
Ideal for that seashore-themed residence or cottage by the sea. 🙂
Yet another rather easy just one! Loving all the decoupage I’ve been performing currently.
It is been so significantly enjoyment to remodel these old, exhausted parts!
PIN it to save it!
I’ll be back again subsequent 7 days with this a single! (I Appreciate how this a single turned out and can not wait to share it with you)
Have a fantastic weekend!!
